	Winter brings a special magic to the house. Sun Valley Lake frozen in winter beauty. (No snowmobiles allowed on the lake) Hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails in the Arapaho National Forest are accessible from the front door of Big Bear Retreat.   .   Rocky Mountain National Park offers many trails for snowshoing or cross county skiing. The Columbine Golf area has many trails for cross county skiing for alllevels of expertise. Rentals available.
	Sol Vista and Winter Park Ski Resorts offer downhill skiing and snowboarding. Rentals available in Granby, Fraser, or Winter Park. Other Winter activities include sleigh rides at Winding River Ranch, ice fishing on Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain, or Lake Granby.
