SUMMER THINGS TO DO AT

We provide a canoe with paddles and a pedal boat for our guests to enjoy Sun Valley Lake. We also have various sizes of life vests for adults and children.

The lake is stocked with rainbow trout each year. You do not need a Colorado fishing license. However, a homeowner lake permit will be supplied to allow our guests use of the lake during their stay.

Fishing is catch and release.

The Columbine Golf course offers great views of the mountains. There are several newly developed golf courses 30 minutes away in Granby.

Moose frequent the lake to graze during the summer. There are also large herds of elk that graze in the horse pasture in front of our house in the evenings.

Big Bear Retreat is 2 miles down the road from Grand Lake Village. There are several restaurants and shops in the village to enjoy.

Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby offer a wide range of water sports. There are several marinas in the area to help you with your water sport needs.

The views on the Top of Trail Ridge Road are breath taking.

Arapaho National Forest has miles of trails.

More information on rafting trips, ATV rentals, riding stables, and other recreational activities is available on the Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce website.
